Time Progression Drawings and Other Nature Sketches
I use my sketchbook for more than sketching.  I doodle, scribble, make lists, share, capture, noodle, take notes, play around, scratch, figure out, store, stick, use and abuse in whatever way I see fit.

I work from front to back, back to front, middle to wherever and I will randomly grab a page.

I use multiple sketchbooks of different sizes and times.  So I have a books with work done in high school and yesterday.  If it still has blank pages I will still use it.

Edward Gorey tickles my fancy.

My sister and old friend from Oshkosh took a selfie before they were called that and I liked the "in your face" aspect of it.  

I do not believe that beautiful has to be pretty.

Almost all my early art education was about representing reality as close as possible...photo realism type stuff. Finding my way back to art after "losing the faith" for a couple of years required a letting go and a brain reboot. Breaking down and reinterpreting gave me a way to express not just what I saw but what I thought and how I felt. Art is more that just a copy of what you see.
